Stephen G. Murphy, Jr. graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics and graduated with High Honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law.  He served on the Law Review as Articles Editor.  He served as Clerk to Justice Arthur H. Healey, Connecticut Supreme Court.  His practice began in 1988 and is focused on the defense of claims involving products liability, automobile negligence, contractual law, premises liability, medical malpractice, municipal liability, toxic torts, construction claims, employment claims and commercial and personal insurance coverage disputes.  He has tried multiple jury and court cases to verdict as well as appearing before the Connecticut Supreme Court and Connecticut Appellate Court.  He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association and the American Inns of Court.
