John C. Mayano graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology in 1988 and he received his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law in 1994. He has been admitted to the practice of law in the Connecticut State Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Massachusetts State Court and U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Attorney Mayano has tried multiple cases to verdict and has also appeared before the Connecticut Appellate Court on multiple occasions. He has been appointed to serve as a Court Arbitrator for the judicial district of New Haven since 2003 and the judicial district of Hartford since 2010. He has arbitrated and mediated numerous cases over the years. His practice is focused on insurance defense litigation, personal injury, municipal liability, premise liability and construction claims. Prior to joining Milano & Wanat, he was a senior attorney at a major insurance company for over twenty-two years. He has been a member of the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association, New Haven Bar Association and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. In his spare time, he has served as the President of the Cheshire High School Boys Soccer Association since 2014 and Secretary of the Cheshire Soccer Club since 2008.
