Ajaz Fiazuddin graduated from Boston University in 1994 with degrees in Religion and Anthropology. He pursued legal studies at Suffolk University Law School, securing his Juris Doctor in 1997. He then initiated a diverse career - first with a private insurance defense firm in Bangor, Maine for several years - before changing gears to protect the civil rights of clients who had experienced disability discrimination in employment, housing, education, and public accommodations. Shortly after moving to the Hartford, Connecticut area, he came back to his roots in the insurance defense world as staff counsel for a major property casualty insurance company. He developed his practice there over the next 17 years defending insured parties and the insurance company through hundreds of cases. He accumulated extensive experience zealously representing clients against automobile and homeowner personal injury actions, uninsured / underinsured motorist claims, and general property damage disputes. He also specialized in bringing claims for the insurance company through dozens of varied subrogation matters. In 2025, he resumed private practice with Milano & Wanat where he focuses primarily on advocating for clients through insurance defense litigation."
